ord’s UK market lead continues to strengthen. In November, Ford vehicles accounted for three of the top six November best sellers with Fiesta (1st), Focus (2nd) and Transit (6th).
According to the official figures released today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT):

This week we are revealing additions to our range, including the iconic new Mustang and the Ford Edge concept that will provide further growth opportunities in the coming years.”
The official figures released by the SMMT show that total UK car sales in November were up 7.0 per cent to 159,581 units, compared with November 2012. For the year to date (end November) total UK car sales were 2,111,819 – up 9.9 per cent compared with 2012.
Ford’s share of retail car sales in November advanced 0.1 of a percentage point to 11.3 per cent, compared with November 2012. For the year to date, retail share was up 0.8 of a percentage point, at 13.1 per cent, compared with 2012.
For the year to date total Ford car sales were 291,369, up from 266,261 for the same period in 2012. Ford total vehicle sales for the year to date were 357,213, up from 328,238 for the same period in 2012.
Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus were the number one and two UK best-sellers in November and for the year to date – both models have increased sales and share for the year to date, compared with the same period in 2012.
Sales success across the Ford car range in 2013 has seen the Ford Ka, Fiesta, B-MAX, Focus, C-MAX and Kuga all increase sales and share for the year to date, compared with the same period in 2012.
UK commercial vehicle sales in November were up 21.5 per cent, compared with November 2012, and for the year to date were up 8.7 per cent. Total sales of Ford CVs for the year to date were up from 63,129 to 67,131. Ford medium commercials, headed by the industry-leading Ford Transit, increased sales and share in November and for the year to date, compared with the same periods in 2012.
In its 48th consecutive year as the UK’s best-selling commercial vehicle, the Ford Transit was also the UK’s sixth best-selling vehicle in November, outselling many cars. Sales of the recently launched Transit Custom have now exceeded 10,000, to add to the success of the Transit nameplate.
